TIME AND COST EFFECTIVE HANDLING FOR BUILDING UP CARBON FIBER TAILORED BLANKS

Jia-Yang Du (Premium Aerotec GmbH) Hilmar Apmann (Premium Aerotec GmbH) Markus Schmider (J. Schmalz GmbH)

A new time and cost efficient process enables to build up tailored blanks consisting of 15 different patches within 90 seconds and an accuracy of ±1 mm. Instead of handling each patch individually, stacks of patches are built beneath the endeffector.
